Employee Testimonials

I am at the very start of my journey working for St. John's. From the moment and even during the interview process, you made me feel part of the 'family', who have one vision, to improving outcomes for pupils'. You are made to feel that what you bring to the journey of improvement, has real importance.

Fran Pass – Head Teacher

I have worked at St. John's for nine years. The philosophy and approach to supporting learners is second to none and the multi-disciplinary approach provides a holistic service that increases quality of life for young people

Van Fernandes-Cox – Counsellor

St. John’s to me is a place of comfort and freedom, I say this as it’s apparent to me that our staff and learners come from all walks of life with this we show understanding and respect to each other. I have made some of my most cherished memories here, along with learning so much about myself. I find great pleasure in telling people what I do for St. John’s. Our learners are amazing people to know and it’s a joy to be around them.

Don Burrows – Residential Support Worker

I have worked for St. John's for over 14 years. I have been rewarded so many times working in a care setting with learners, giving me a chance to help them progress.

Sandra Laker – Lead Residential Support Worker

I started working for St. John’s in 2015. I really enjoy working within a wide multidisciplinary team here and have learnt a great deal from them all. Working at SJ’s allows us, as therapists, to work creatively and functionally with our learners to ensure they have the best outcomes moving forward.

Roxy McPhail – Speech & Language Therapist Supervisor

I was first involved with St. John's in September 1983 as a governor, educational partner, then as a trustee of the charity. St. John’s is a growing and learning organisation, where no two days are ever the same. There is no better place to launch a career, or extend it.
